The single most important indicator of a child’s success in therapy is their parents’ Perspective.

With this approach, the most important goal is to help parents orient away from pathology and redirect focus towards wellness and health.

Most parents seeking therapy are knowledgable in some areas of mental health, and wish to find their own voice and direction to meet their child and family well.

But many parents have not yet learned to recognize the markers of healthy development.

Using a combination of psychoeducation, developmental psychology, and research-based skills, we create a funnel for health and wellness to permeate the family setting, and learn the language of wellness as a team.

How It Works

Not every family needs therapy.

At this point in time, some families are seeking straightforward education and guidance, and can easily implement the necessary tools at home. Yet other families are in a steady rhythm, but face one repeating issue that points to a developmental snag in a parent or child. This family may find it useful to deep dive into the issue, troubleshoot, and resolve it as a team.

Parents, as well, can be anywhere along the spectrum when it comes to confidence in their parenting skills. Here, a well-curated educational learning program can offer direction and clarification on matters that have long been answered by leading psychologists but have simply not made it to the mainstream just yet.

At Serah, these elements are core aspects of the work we do together.

Families can choose to work via private consultations for ongoing counseling, join live classes on the Pay-What-You-Wish scale, or schedule a one-time extended call to discuss a pertinent issue. This is next-generation therapy, where the focus is no longer on perfecting our understanding of the problem, but framed completely in the direction of evolution and development.

This approach is designed using research, practice, and input from parents who have successfully implemented the work.
